Over the years, there has plenty of music coming out of the great state of AZ that music enthusiasts would deem boring. Many have come and gone and yet the national reputation for culture with the 6th biggest city in the US is well, quite weak.
Recently, Cyrus Igono, founder of Gadsen Records, announced the partnership with HG&Co. and the launch of Artists Up Next, a national radio show featuring unsigned artists that aims to be in 20 major cities by the end of 2016.
When asked about his ascent into the music industry in a red carpet interview he said. "The music industry right now is a joke. Literally the same 10 artists and the Kardashians have all the spotlight. Its gonna change."
Could the next wave of great musicians be discovered from a company based in the desert or is it just a 'mirage'. Ha.
Only time will tell.
