In these tough economic times, so many of us dream of having a wad of money come our way out of nowhere.
But what if the opportunity to obtain that cash was morally wrong and also considered theft?
One woman has learned the hard way that not being honest isn't just wrong, it also can land you behind bars.
28 year old Stephanie Paparo has been arrested one month after she figured she hit the jackpot.
Paparo was standing behind Jim Duffy in line at a store when Duffy dropped $2300 he was planning on using for a car.
Surveillance cameras captured the whole incident which saw Paparo scoop up the cash, remain in line for a short time, and then dart on out of there.
The footage was aired onNBC 10, and the tips flooded in that lead to Paparo's arrest only a half-hour after it hit the air.
She will be charged with theft and receiving stolen property, but at this point the money hasn't been recovered.
