When it comes to new artists from New York currently making a name for themselves, there’s one name that stands out from all the rest. That artist's name is Slick Fif. Some might know him as "Joka" from the YouTube web series "Home of the HIttaz", which is growing in popularity with the urban community. The series has gotten the support of names such as Caesar from Black Ink, rapper Mysonne, and even the late rapper Chinx. If he's not acting, Fif, which his close friends call him, is locked inside his friend's home studio "Magicblock86" where all of his music is crafted.
Slick Fif has done the well-known Coast to Coast tours with music artists Uno and Steve Young for their collaboration album titled “Triple Threat”, where he performed the crowd favorite “Wildin Stylin”. He also performed at numerous underground shows with his good friend Nuchi, who he grew up with.
Fif’s current single “M.U.F.K.A.” featuring Roasta, another Brooklyn native, just dropped and has been getting amazing responses on social media, and around his hometown. Fif is touring clubs in New York City, Miami, Tampa, Atlanta and more, pushing the single slowly and gaining the support from his peers and newfound fans. If you follow his social media you'll notice that he draws his inspiration from a number of different things including deceased or incarcerated childhood friends, his family, former street life and his crazy night life. Add all of these components with his cool personality and style, and one will notice why his name is what it is.
