Video After The Jump
It's been a year since music icon Whitney Houston passed away. Her friend and mentor Clive Davis honored the late singer at his pre-Grammy party at the Beverly Hilton Hotel by playing a rarely scene video of the late singer performing "All the Man That I Need" during a concert for our troops.
"She was the greatest contemporary singer of our lifetime," Davis said.
Houston's brother Gary was at the party as was Jill Scott, Akon, Larry King, Gayle King, Miguel, Elle Varner, Tyrese, Brandy, Ne-Yo and Wiz Khalifa.
"She was the greatest voice of all time," Brandy told HipHollywood. "She inspired every singer to come after her."
Epic Records chairman/CEO Antonio "L.A." Reid was also honored at the event.
"He has got an incredible legacy," Jill Scott said of Reid. "And he absolutely worthy of any praise and tribute while he's alive."
