When word broke about the 1st Annual Urban Shake Awards, the response was met with, "Its about Time". Not for another Chicago award show but for a platform to recognize the true movers and "SHAKErs right here in Chicago. Urban Shake Magazine and AMP, LLC through MUSEUM 44, the young adult division of the A. Philip Randolph Pullman Porter Museum will honor those who are living in the spirit of change and making history in our communities on a daily basis. Urban Shake Magazine will host its official launch mixer and fundraiser, April 2nd 2011 at 7pm at the A. Philip Randolph/Pullman Porter Museum, located at the corner of 104th and Maryland Ave in Chicago, IL. Being a part of the music industry, you see many organizations put on events just to make a few dollars in the name of humanitarianism, but this truly is different. Selflessly motivated on positive difference making, Urban Shake Magazine, AMP.LLC and MUSEUM 44 truly are standing in the intersection WHERE HIP HOP MEETS HISTORY. Forget all the negativity you see or here, on this ONE night, we will be ONE PEOPLE, ONE HISTORY, ONE FUTURE… see you there….
