*Update*: Emmett Till Family Rejects Lil Wayne's Apology

After the family of the late historical civil rights figure Emmett Till made an attempt to get Lil Wayne dropped from Mountain Dew due to his offensive lyrics about their deceased family member in Future's song "Karate Chop," the rapper finally felt the need to issue a letter of apology.

However, the Till family and Airicka Gordon-Taylor, the executive director of Till Mobley Memorial Foundation, aren't buying it.

They claim that there was no legit "sorry" within the letter.

This is what a family representative had to say:
"While it’s commendable that he has vowed to respect the legacy of Emmett Till and his memory to ‘not use or reference Emmett Till or the Till family in his music,' this statement falls short of an apology, as none is mentioned."

The only reason why Lil wayne had someody write that letter for him was because they were going after his money now because it's been how long since the song came out with no threat after his money but now there a threat after his oney and he has somebody write a letter for him SMH
