Tiger Woods looks like he's ready to put the past behind him and move forward with the announcement that he's dating Olympic gold medalist Lindsey Vonn.
The 37-year old Woods posted about the relationship today on his Facebook page.
This season has been great so far and I'm happy with my wins at Torrey and Doral. Something nice that's happened off the course was meeting Lindsey Vonn. Lindsey and I have been friends for some time, but over the last few months we have become very close and are now dating. We thank you for your support and for respecting our privacy. We want to continue our relationship, privately, as an ordinary couple and continue to compete as athletes.
The relationship has been rumored for months. It picked up steam when Tiger had his private jet fly Lindsey out of Austria when she was injured at the Alpine World Championships in February.
Elin Nordegren
It's the first publicly acknowledged relationship for Tiger since he divorced Elin Nordegren in August 2010 after nearly six years of marriage. The divorce came on the heels of a scandal where it was revealed Tiger had cheated on her with at least 12 women including a porn actress.

Following his split from Elin, Tiger lost millions of dollars in endorsements and his golf game completely fell apart. He reportedly had to pay Elin $100 million in their divorce settlement.
He's been playing better as of late.
The 28-year old Vonn was divorced in January 2013 from Thomas Vonn after fours years of marriage. She also announced the relationship with Tiger today via Facebook.
I guess it wasn't a well-kept secret but yes, I am dating Tiger Woods. Our relationship evolved from a friendship into something more over these past few months and it has made me very happy. I don't plan on addressing this further as I would like to keep that part of my life between us, my family and close friends. Thank you for understanding and your continued support! xo LV.
