This is very sad. How could you discount history? It's simple as this: Throwing away your past is like someone in your future throwing away your parents! Imagine if you tried to express to someone where and how you learned to live a civil life life by using your mom or pop and dude was like, "what?? f*ck your parents! who the f*ck are they??? - never heard of 'em!" All beginnings have a past and hip-hop has one of the greatest and most progressive. And don't pop no stupid sh*t either, it just makes you look more clueless and ignorant. These little dudes need to get laid or somethin' LOL!

Young Stunna, you have to "grow up" first before you can "stunt". Learn your history. Hip Hop didn't start with your generation. We taught ya'll the game. In order to know where you are going, know where you came from first. "Ya heard"

You guys explaining Dana Dane's relevance are p****** in the wind. The people posting that have no idea who he is and what he's contributed to hip-hop are probably 16 or only listen to b******* on the radio and watch BET music videos. Dana Dane's one of the greatest storytellers of all time. Their favorite rapper knows who Dana Dane is...that's how stupid they are.

If it was'nt for cats like Dana Dane there would absolutely be no Kid Cudi and where the hell does Mase even fit into this? It's sad but you're the only lonely cat who comes on thisis50 ranting and raving in joy over an irrelevant theme you have based on Mase then you changed your default pic from Mase to Soulja Boy...Do you have some obessed, deranged mental problems with an artist named Mase that nobody is even thinking, caring,or speaking about? Yeah Mase may have accomplished a bit more than what Dana Dane was seeking to achieve but if he was that important that you would'nt be the only one that's glorfying over him.And one last point to be made, without Rakim there would be no Mase just remember that...Mase would'nt exist if it were'nt for Rakim because Mase was'nt a gimmick or a creation when Rakim was in existence...You might need a psychiatrist to get your head checked homie because you're going too far with this obessive Mase ploy that you have going on for yourself on thisis50...

Dana Dane and Slick Rick both had the same sound and the same style of rap because both of them came from the same click called the Kangol Crew. Slick Rick was the one who branched out and became more widely known, more popular, and more recognized than Dana Dane and I think that's what sort of hurt and put a damper on Dana Dane's career because of the exact same style of rap that they both shared ...
