"Though I am in university, I am still from the hood " @Truthzmusic talks freestyles, UK music and his new single

Where are you from?
I was born and raised in the UK, specifically, Enfield in North London.

Describe your sound:
While some of my music predominantly has an Afro-Swing vibe, which is influenced by Afrobeats, Bashment and RnB, I also touch Grime and Trap sounds to display my versatility.

Tell us about your latest projects:
You have just dropped a dope freestyle, tell us a little about the project and how it came about
"I got my grind on and got accepted" is a bar that stands out - tell us a little about that work ethic that sets the tone for the freestyle:

I have just launched a YouTube channel called TellMeTV which aims to bring real music back into the scene as I want to do more for the scene. I started it with my own freestyle to show people that there is more to the game and there is something that I can offer and that is my story. Though I am in university, I am still from the hood and I have experienced things that is generally discussed in a lot of UK music but I feel like a lot of people do not touch on their achievements or inspire something more than just the hood. I have made it to a top university despite my circumstances and this is even what inspired my current project ‘Uni Boy’ which will be my first EP release. ‘Uni Boy’ is a statement; to accept whoever you are, to accept that everyone has a different hustle, and to appreciate what you have. My latest release was a single called ‘All of You’ which will be on ‘Uni Boy’, this single is about giving your all as I have never believed in half-heartedness. ‘Uni Boy’ has a variety of sounds which varying messages but I will leave that to the listeners to hear when it drops.

Who inspires you?

I find inspiration in many things as I am constantly surrounded by a muse whether it is my friends from university, my friends from ends o

Where do you see your career in 5 years?

I just want to have a good support system of people who appreciate my niche and what I do which is to get people in their feelings, to get people to reflect on some deep things and to make people enjoy; I would like for people to come to my music for any of these reasons. I would like to have a well-established foundation by building independence using my YouTube channel and various platforms.

Where can we check out your sounds?

My music can be found on all digital stores so simply search for Truthz on Spotify, Apple Music and YouTube or search Truthz Music on Soundcloud.
