Video After The Jump

STAR ask's the question is Jay-Z the best rapper ever? NYC cracking down on counterfeit sales, militant groups in Ireland forming he New IRA and George Zimmerman's father releasing a book calling African Americans the real racist.

Radio legend Troi Torain (STAR) always delivers hard-hitting objective truth. As a culture critic he is vicious, as a businessman he is relentless, as a luminary he is un-matched.

Considered radio pioneers by many, Star & Buc Wild have set precedents on the urban landscape and were recently inducted into News One's "Top 20 Black Radio Jockeys Of All Time."

Star & Buc Wild made the national stage on MTV (1999) but it was their radio show on New York's Hot 97 (2000 - 2003) that secured their place in Hip-Hop history.

Star & Buc Wild's resume includes The Source magazine, MTV Networks, Hot 97, Power 104.1, Power 105.1, Pulse 87, Hip-Hop Weekly magazine, Vladtv, Thisis50, 100.3 The Beat and shot97.com and VH1 (Reality Television).

This clip is from their LIVE show (12noon -- 2pm) on http://shot97.com.

Jay-Z the best ever not even close he is one of the best not the best ever though Tupac was the best ever through his music and everything else he accomplished through out his life made a great connection with his fans and others unlike your every day most new age rappers pac was a definition of a artist with his music and everything else

Tupac is the antithesis to Jay-Z. He was all about community uplift, Jay is all about individual uplift. Tupac was a orator with a clear message he was sending. Jay is a slick talkin' business man who's filled with ambition.

Pac all day. He was a force of nature.
Go back in your mind and think about all he accomplished. All the trends he set that are still relevant today, and all doors he kicked open that rappers are walking through still. Now, remember that he did it all in a just FIVE years and one of them he was in jail.

Now let me say something else...pac is my favorite rapper and is the best to do what he did. N thats bring realism n enotion to the game n he in my eyes, has he not died wouldve blown hov out the water. Cys he was smart..but he was just too thugged out n wild at that time. I saw him slowing down n getting his mind right before he passed. N jay at the time was not poppin like that. Rip PAC. Who knows man.

First of all i love star but, u cant just say jay was better than three deceased rappers. That n**** wins over those three by default cause they died and we never got to see what wouldve happened had they not died. Moving forward...Jay is the best to do it when u include every aspect of an individual when it includes business and the actual art form of hip hop. His name obviously will live forever as one of he men who was poor, dealt drugs and put his work in the hip hop game and took it over by way of business savvy abd accomplishments. N***** who come in the game and stay stuck as an artist aint really doing s*** no matter how nice they are. U come in...rape the game...become a label owner..and promote your brand. He did more than that. And to those who says that jay aint spit hot s*** in a minute, sit down cus this n**** spit mad hot s*** and doeant need to prove anything to u young guys. He did what he set out to do and Is up there making that paper dough. Too much to count. Eminem is also great but thats some other story. All around as Star mentioned...jay wins by a large margin. But imo if pac or big or even pun aint die...who knows what couldve happened. But this is reality and they cant compete as dead men.

Jay z is the "most successful" but far as spittin Nas and Eminem are more lyrical...Having alot of money doesnt define "True Talent"

Jay as best ever? Maybe, though he really hasn't put out anything amazing in quite a few years. Better than some mentally retarded personalities out there claiming Weezy for that spot when Wayne is nowhere even remotely close.
