Soulja Boy Sues His Ex-Manager Over Unfair Contracts Signed When He Was 16-Years Old
Soulja Boy has filed a lawsuit against his ex-manager claiming he was taken advantage of and duped into signing several bad contracts when he entered the business at 16-years old.
According to TMZ, Soulja filed papers in Georgia Supreme Court, claiming his ex-manager/lawyer Philip Ransom had him sign contracts that were "unconscionable, oppressive, and unjust." The documents allege Soulja signed a management agreement that gave Ransom 5% of his work related income for as long as Ransom managed him.
A separate contract Soulja signed allegedly gave Interscope Records 50% of all the rapper's copyrights. Soulja now claims that deal is "commercially unreasonable" and "contrary to music industry custom and practice."
Ransom denies the claims and has filed a countersuit against Soulja, alleging the Atlanta rapper still owes him money.

but its his signature on the contract
all the time people sign for cars and houses they can't afford and they end up owing thousands of $$$. They can't sue anybody because they agreed to a contract.

I'm pretty sure soulja made some good investments & he could still mae money from doing shows.s he a be aight.because we all know that he not gonna make any more money off music but no one mae money off album sells forever.ll cool j,ice cube,snoop dogg,nas,jay z,dr dre & busta rymes is the only artist that stayed in the game forever

by law, depending on what state this is being handled, or what state the signing of the contract took place, soulja my or may not be able to handle the situation ... law can get extremely tricky ~ Even though I'm not a fan of French Montana, he said it best when he said " I have lawyers watching my lawyers so they don't screw me" ... every body has to put their thinking cap on and really handle their business to avoid these types of situations ...

You know whats crazy is that he was under age to sign a contract, I parent had to be in hand if he signed anything cuz legally he was under age hummmm something doesnt sound right im just saying I feel bad for homie he has had a ruff year UUUUUUUUUU lol this is your boy TiCO of Ride2Die im out.
