Reportedly, this weekend hip-hop artists attended the Generation Now Inaugural Ball to celebrate President Obama's second-term and young voters who had an impact in the campaign. Those like Will.i.am, Common, John Legend, and T-Pain were in the building.
Common said the president is a great motivation and will make change for us. However, he also mentioned that the youth must hold themselves responsible.
T-Pain, who also made an appearance, hopes that the commander-in-chief won't let the stress of criticism get to him this next time around.
Common left the young generation with these words of wisdom:
"Believe in yourself and find out what your passion is and pursue it. Pursue it with all your heart."
