Ruff Ryders Label, Former Home To DMX & The Lox, To Relaunch With New Roster Of Talent

(AllHipHop News) Yonkers Hip-Hop label Ruff Ryders has relaunched its recording business as Ruff Ryders Indy and will officially launch its new roster of artists currently on the label.

The principles in the new label are CEO/President Joaquin "Waah" Dean, Director of Operations Dedra Tate and Directors of Marketing, Tenisha Rae and Alimah Samsid-Deen.

According to representatives from Double XXposure PR, the company that officially represents Ruff Ryders Indy, the label will be distributed by Fontana/Universal, with a focus on mentoring new and independent labels.

Ruff Ryders Indy will provide marketing, street promotion, radio promotion and product management, in addition to educational programs offered to label CEO's to help build their brands.

As one of the founders of Ruff Ryders in 1988, Joaquin Dean helped introduce artists like DMX, Eve, Swizz Beatz, The Lox, Drag-On and others into pop culture, selling over 20 million records in the process.

Ruff Ryders Indy's roster consists of Drag-On, Mook, Shella, Flashy and Lil Joaquin.

This week, the label will conduct a press day to reveal more details about their roster and the new label's plans for the future.

Recreating and Refurbishing Ruff Ryders would be like Recreating and Refurbishing Murder Inc. ...It just wouldn't work at this point...I know Ruff Ryders are looking over at Cash Money right now and they are viewing what Baby is doing with Lil Wayne over there at Yung Money...Yung Money basically is the real reason why Cash Money is still hanging around by a thread...and now Ruff Ryders are feeling they can do the same by coming back into the fold but I just don't see it happening if DMX isn't heavily involved whether he's in the forefront again or this time behind the scenes...So I guess Ruff Ryders feel like they still have a shot and they want back in...And they said that Ruff Ryders Indy's roster consists of Drag-On, Mook, Shella, Flashy and Lil Joaquin...They never said that they were gonna use Drag-On, Mook, Shella, Flashy and Lil Joaquin from that roster...And where does it say that Drag-On is gonna be used as the face of the new foundation of Ruff Ryders? They know that's not a good look so that's definitely not gonna happen...Good luck to CEO/President Joaquin "Waah" Dean, Director of Operations Dedra Tate and Directors of Marketing, Tenisha Rae and Alimah Samsid-Deen on reviving Ruff Ryders but I don't see a massive amount of success in selling Multi-Platinum albums happening with them ever again...Remember Suge Knight tried to revive what was left of Death Row after Tupac died and Suge renamed it and called it 'Tha Row' but that s*** quickly crashed and burned faster than anyone would've thought and nobody was surprised when it happened...

"Good interview! Work Out definitely put me off J Cole cause it made me think he was a soft rapper. He is a soft rapper but he a soft rapper with talent. Breakfast Club gets the best answers out of people."
