Rihanna Exits Def Jam For Jay Z's Roc Nation Record Label

Roc Nation's roster just got considerably stronger as Rihanna has decided to call the label her recording home. She leaves Def Jam after a seven album run that began in 2005 when then-President Jay Z signed her to the label.

The singer was already being managed by Roc Nation. This move simply keeps everything in house for the Barbadian beauty.

Riri joins J. Cole, Willow Smith, Rita Ora, DJ Mustard, Calvin Harris, Alexa Goddard, Mayaeni, Jay Electronica and of course, Hov himself as an artist under the Roc Nation umbrella.

The addition gives Jay's label one of the biggest superstars on the planet. Rihanna has sold over 30 million albums and 120 million singles worldwide during her career. At only 26-years old the singer is in the prime of her career.

Trap_P those two are not the only ones doing well on that list. Rita Ora has a few number one projects and her music does very well. Ur not checking for it cus it is not hip hop. The same goes for Calvin Harris and Alexa Goddard.

New Music: Rell Jerv - School's Out (@RellJerv)

Rell Jerv blesses this Mary J Blige track "You Remind Me." Spinning the classic 90s single, Rell takes us back to childhood nostalgia. The single moves into a Hip Hop and R&B tempo, giving feel good vibes. Many are comparing him lyrically to Logic, J Cole and Kendrick, as his content and writing skills are up to par. Take a listen.See More
