Rihanna Exits Def Jam For Jay Z's Roc Nation Record Label

Roc Nation's roster just got considerably stronger as Rihanna has decided to call the label her recording home. She leaves Def Jam after a seven album run that began in 2005 when then-President Jay Z signed her to the label.

The singer was already being managed by Roc Nation. This move simply keeps everything in house for the Barbadian beauty.

Riri joins J. Cole, Willow Smith, Rita Ora, DJ Mustard, Calvin Harris, Alexa Goddard, Mayaeni, Jay Electronica and of course, Hov himself as an artist under the Roc Nation umbrella.

The addition gives Jay's label one of the biggest superstars on the planet. Rihanna has sold over 30 million albums and 120 million singles worldwide during her career. At only 26-years old the singer is in the prime of her career.

ok @ Tall Shon (TS) rita ora as far as im concerned she's been out for a lil min now her name should be bigger than it is but its not ....calvin harris ill give u a pass on ive heard his music just didnt who he was he's definately going places....alexa goddard we'll she how that goes in the next 3 yrs she aint really buzzin like that right now....

Trap_P those two are not the only ones doing well on that list. Rita Ora has a few number one projects and her music does very well. Ur not checking for it cus it is not hip hop. The same goes for Calvin Harris and Alexa Goddard.

Out of the roc nation roster J. Cole, Willow Smith, Rita Ora, DJ Mustard, Calvin Harris, Alexa Goddard, Mayaeni, Jay Electronica only 2 artist are really doin well j.cole and dj mustard hopefully riri can sustain as she has been....
