There has been some head shaking at some of the rappers on MTV's Hottest MC's in the Game list. Not only have fans questioned some of the placements. but artists A$AP Rocky and Kanye West weren't happy with their spots.

However, the choice for the No. 4 spot will probably get a lot of approval from just about everyone.

Nas was snubbed at this years Grammys, but maybe being recognized at the No. 4 hottest emcee in the game will ease the sting of being overlooked by the National Academy of Recording Arts and Sciences yet again.

In 2012 Nas released his eleventh studio album, Life Is Good. The album made it's debut at No. 1 on the Billboard 200 chart by selling 149,000 copies in its first week.

The record received four Grammy nominations and produced the singles "Daughters" and "Bye Baby."

Esco also found time to record a couple of features last year. He appeared on Nicki Minaj's "Champion" and Rick Ross' "Triple Beam Dreams."

Coming in at No. 3 on the list is Rick Ross. The Miami rapper released his fifth solo album in 2012, God Forgives, I Don't. The project debuted at No. 1 on the Billboard 200, selling selling 218,000 copies it's first week in stores. The project produced 3 singles, most notably "Diced Pineapples" and received a Grammy nomination for Best Rap Album.

In addition to dropping an album, Ross released two mixtapes last year, Rich Forever and The Black Bar Mitzvah.

Ross also made several guest appearances on records by Usher ("Lemme See"), French Montana ("Pop That") and Ace Hood's "Bugatti."

Its Actually Pretty Interesting To See Who Will Be the Top 2 Being That 2 Chainz, Wayne, Jay Z Nor Kendrick Has Made an Appearance On It Just Yet...Now The Right Thing To Do Would Be to Put Kendrick and 2 Chains Up, But As Bias As They Are, Wayne May Be Number 1 and Jay May Get Thrown On Just Because...Can't Co Sign That Nas Vote, Even Tho He's a Dope Artist, I Can't Say That He's Hot Right Now Being That I Literally Haven't Hear Not 1 Song Off of The Last Album, Nor Does It Play On The Radio or In Clubs...So Someone Is Gonna Get Shrugged By The End Of It

whether this is hottest mc or lyricist doesn't matter, all that matters is the list makes no sense except for about two spots. I'll make a top ten list and put this list outta buusiness

I agree with 'NATE \m/ (-_-) \m/ ' If people stopped buying their music, they won't be here
Me personally I think the Hottest MC list is crap anyway, some of the most lyrical artists get missed off like Banks, Fabolous & Juelz all the time!

I think the problem people have with this list is they don't understand it. It called the hottest mc list, not the hottest lyricist list or the hottest single list. When you listen to the criteria they judge by everyone on this list could be right. Weather u agree with the spot they are in is debatable, but we all know that being hot doesn't mean you are the best rapper. Take Gucci and Waka Flocka; they were the hottest rappers out at one point and in my opinion I don't think either one of them is a good rapper. My point is you are hot if the masses say u are!
