Prince Finessing is a lyrical genius when it comes to creating his masterpieces. At the early age of 8 years old, he began the first of many sessions in the recording studio. He not only wrote his rhyme within minutes but he laid the track down perfectly on the first take. When he was 12 years old he was one of the few participants that landed an audition for "Showtime At The Apollo". At the age of 14, Prince Finessing produced and launched his first mix tape--titled "The First Round". This was an appropriate title for announcing his arrival into the hip-hop world.
Being the Perfectionist that he is, Prince Finessing is always trying to out due himself. He went back in the studio and created another majestic masterpiece titled "Certified Royalty". That second mix tape was highly anticipated and fans loved it. In Prince Finessing's own words "I try to make a CD where you don't have to skip any songs", and he accomplished that with "Certified Royalty". Multiple tracks reflect his fierce flows and great magnitude of passion for music. The hot single "Dial Tone" feat. Raphae, is a local favorite that everyone can relate to, and he delivers with a sinuous style of delivery. The lyrical Prince Finessing had proven it to be true; he slaughters any beat he touches. The love ballad "Where Did Our Love Go" was picked as #1 fan favorite in a web poll on Austin's KAZI "Untapped Show" (Rap/Hip-Hop).
Performances have included: SXSW (Austin, TX) Texas Relays, Slab Holiday (Houston, TX) Juneteenth Festival, Texas Heatwave Car Show, KAZI's "Untapped Show" 1st Anniversary, Diverse Arts Culture Works 1st Teen Fest as well as various clubs.
The lyrical ability of artist like T.I. have motivated Prince Finessing to put words to music. He's definitely proven to be more than a rapper; he's a creative musician from Texas with impeccable word flow. This versatile lyricist demonstrated his majestic word play, on his third mixtape titled " Blockbuster ". All 22 tracks offered great synth work, particularly on “The Coldest” & "So Icy". Prince Finessing's fans often compliment his craft by stating "It's a pleasure listening to first-class, crisp & clear rappin’ and sung vocals... especially with that syncopation you have in the delivery of the lines".
Prince Finessing's hard work & dedication to get his education paid off, he graduated high school in June 2013. Eagerly ready to return to the booth, his college plans were postponed, which allowed an abundance of time to do what comes so naturally, pursuing his passion for music. Prince Finessing immediately got focused on his forth mixtape -- "Anticipated Legend ". Prince Finessing has always made sure to give his screw fans at least one screw song on every mixtape. "Anticipated Legend" went beyond expectations with multiple HOT tracks such as " Glossy Paint ", "Texas Girl" and " Raised on Texas, which gives homeage to Houston's rap pioneers .....Bun B & Pimp C of UGK, Trae Tha Truth & Z-Ro, Slim Thug, and SUC. As usual, Prince Finessing slaughtered every track on "Anticipated Legend" . His aggression in his delivery can be felt in the titled track "Impatient" which describes his personal struggle for success.
Prince Finessing's detailed lyrics make him sound like a hip-hop vet, except for one thing.... he doesn't use any profanity in his music. Which is rare in this day and time, but that's what sets Prince Finessing apart from other artists in this industry. The fact that he doesn't curse yet he still goes hard and slaughters every track that he touches.
Prince Finessing's success as a songwriter and producer makes it obvious; he's destined for Greatness!
