Last December, singer R. Kelly announced that he will be adding 32 more chapters to the infamous series "Trapped in the Closest." Being a man of his word, the artist told MTV that he made 30 chapters in the last month alone.
R. Kelly talked to MTV about the anticipation of fans and his progress in extending "Trapped in the Closest":
"I'm so glad to know there are a lot of fans still waiting to find out what the package is, and I'm coming, you guys. In four weeks, I just did 30 chapters of "Trapped in the Closet" and I'm proud of it; I'm very excited about it because it took on a life of its own. It took me over."
Kelly compared the series to walking a large dog that has the power to pull you in whichever direction it chooses:
"This is what 'Trapped in the Closet' is doing for me right now, it's kind of pulling me. It has pulled me, and there are a lot of cliff hangers, a lot of different chapters, and other characters that have created themselves in the story. It's very very off the damn chain."
Kelly divulged in March that he would release 22 new videos to go along with the series. They will be premiered on IFC later in the year.
The first five chapters of the series that Kelly launched in 2005 for his album TP.3 Reloaded is about a one-night stand that turns into a drama of deception and romance.
