Instead of declaring being sworn into office as the most significant moment of the inauguration weekend, President Obama announced the first lady Michelle Obama's new hairdo was the biggest highlight.
Sunday night the commander-in-chief praised his wife's makeover at a reception filled with supporters.
"First of all, I love Michelle Obama. And to address the most significant event of this weekend, I love her bangs. She looks good. She always looks good," said Obama.
Fashion designers await to see if their garments will be chosen by the first lady to accompany her fresh look on Monday's public inauguration ceremony and presidential inaugural balls.
