Peter Rosenberg from Hot 97 Goes in on Power 105 Breakfast Club! [Audio Inside]

By now we all should know what has led up to this recent bitterness among some On-Air's at Hot 97 and Power 105. If not let us recap; so this year Hot 97 hosted their annual Summer Jam which included several artists such as Jeezy, Nas, Meek Mill, 2Chainz, Maino, Nikki Minaj and the list goes on. However, on the festival stage b4 the main event Peter Rosenberg took it upon himself to voice his opinion towards Nikki Minaj's "Star Ships" record. Nikki Minaj and Wayne took offense to the comments which in a whole led Lil Wayne into pulling Nikki Minaj and YMCMB from the show.

Moreover, Funk Master Flex from Hot 97 also chimed in on the situation as he was performing his set on stage stating “We ain’t fuckin’ with commercial rappers no more,” while playing Rihanna’s “Cake” remix. “If you lost the fuckin’ streets then it’s your fault. If you don’t go gold it’s your fault. I’m dedicated to tearing you down.”

Nikki then calls up Hot 97 with Flex and they both somewhat clear the air. Charlamagne Tha God from Power 105 breakfast club then goes on air and makes a mockery of Funk Flex calling him a B!TCH during his “Donkey of The Day” segment on Power 105.1! Listen Below:

Now you guys are up to date check out Peter Rosenberg's Response to Power 105 Breakfast Club. Listen Below:

There are a lot of people that agree with Rosenberg's comment. And it's not just Minaj - it's hip hop music overall that has become mediocre, hip-pop and trash. But Hot 97 plays the garbage all of the time. So much so that I finally stopped listening to the radio. I would actually get mad listening to Hot 97. I couldn't believe that they were playing that trash. Not only do they play hip pop but they also play trash that lacks any type of artistic or creative value - just because the songs are popular. A lot of young, simple-minded drones without any depth can make anything popular but it doesn't mean that it is good, respectable or worthy. Who gives a f*** about what's popular. We looking for what's real - real hip hop that is true to the core. Certain artists should get fined for polluting the airwaves with straight up garbage. And it can make a person mad that this is what this beloved culture has become. I understand that some do it for the money and want to appeal to a broader audience. And that is fine. Do you. Just don't call it hip-hop or rap. It's something else so call it something else. Certain artists denigrate hip hop just by allowing their songs to be heard by the public. Some of us really appreciate the culture and the genre for its authentic qualities. It's also a lifestyle. I guess younger artists who were born after the culture had already been established have a different perspective than those who created and established the culture. This is about maintaining what is so important to some of us - protecting what's yours. We care about how it is represented - how our culture and lifestyle is represented. I'm sure many Minaj fans didn't like the comment but many of us appreciate the fact that Rosenberg spoke up for those of us who feel like our culture is dissolving because bubble gum, hip-POP and extremely low-quality trash that lacks any type of artistic/creative value is being associated with this culture we established from scratch. I think Minaj may have talent hidden beneath all that other stuff (maybe) but all that other stuff is not hip hop. Create other genres - one can be called hip pop or bubble gum rap and another can be called straight trash without value but don't call it hip hop. Hip hop has already been established and certain s*** just don't fit within the parameters of this genre.

Think people. Hot97 invited an artist to perform and then dissed that person. THAT is bad business. It is not as though they just dissed her on air, he dissed her LIVE! Wayne pulled her rightfully so. Look at the business behind the issue and not the fact you may not like Nicki Minaj.
