It's 2012 & whether you like it or not there are 3 types of "Hip-Hop" music

Brag Rapping : Talking bout money, Cars & $hit

Lyrical : Drake & other artists that just spit because they can &

Mainstream : $hit rapping but the artist know's it's gonna sell IE: Wayne, big sean, Rick ross These 3 artists can spit BUT they care more about the money than they do about making real music

then there the dying bread in that are RAPPERS ie:

50, Nas, Ice Cube, Dre, Ice T, Mobb Deep

& the rappers that have started to make popy $hit
Jay, Kanye, Diddy, Fabolous

Hot garbage (beat is aite though)... and because of that, I bet it does numbers. Garbage sells, it'll be hot for like 4 weeks thanks to marketing and promo then drop off the face of the earth while good hiphop stays underground, with VERY few exceptions.
Nas was right. Hiphop dead and gone... at least in a commercially viable way.
People these days don't have a real opinion on music. Just get enough people (celebs, DJ's etc..) and mediums (social networks etc..) to say it's hot and they'll buy it. Figuratively and literally.

I dont even know what to say bout a lot of this music but I will say this the majority of rappers are followers when u gone hear some real lyrics? I swear young money is destroying music with these watered downs songs and copy-cat images
