Video After The Jump
Getting a role in a blockbuster movie is a great way to start your movie career.
Starring alongside Michelle Rodriguez and Aaron Eckhart, Ne-Yo plays Cpl. Kevin Harris in the alien invasion flick 'Battle: Los Angeles' which pulled in $36 million in it's opening weekend to nab the # 1 spot at the box office.
Ne-Yo says his 1st movie role was physically demanding.
"It was some of the most difficult stuff I've ever been through in my life,' Ne-yo told AP regarding doing his own stunts. "They put us through boot camp with real live marines to make sure we actually looked and acted the part."
Rounding out the top 5 are 'Rango' (23 mil), 'Red Riding Hood' ($13 mil), The Adjustment Bureau ($11 Mil) and 'Mars Needs Moms' ($6.8 mil).
