Music Moguel Clive Davis Comes Out The Closet In His New Book
Music record executive Clive Davis gets real personal in his new memoir entitled The Soundtrack of My Life. He gives a very descriptive look inside his upscale life. However, what seemed to be the biggest epiphany was the 80-year-old unveiling his bisexual lifestyle.
In a five page section toward the end of the book, Davis wrote that his first physical experience with a man was during the Studio 54 era.
Davis was married twice and divorced his second wife in 1985. Afterwards he was in various relationships with two women and one man.
By the 90's he was in a committed relationship with a male doctor who remains anonymous. Although that relationship ended in 2004, Davis has stayed involved with a man ever since.
Clive also opens up about how coming out of the closet almost damaged the bond he had with one of his sons, Mitchell.
Despite sharing his coming out story, most of Clive's book centers around his interaction with a massive amount of artists over the 50 years he has been in the industry.
The music mogul has played a huge role in the careers of talents like Aretha Franklin, Michael JacksonWhitney Houston, Alicia Keys, and Jennifer Hudson. This book is like a sequel to his out of stock memior Clive: Inside The Music Business.
