Mobb Deep Inks New Recording Deal With Sony/RED Distribution
New Mobb Deep music will be on the way soon now that the group has secured a new label situation.
Prodigy and Havoc will be recording for Red Distribution, and independent arm of Sony, via a deal with their own Infamous Records.
"After almost 20 years in this industry, it was inevitable for us to take matters into our own hands. We feel that RED is the perfect home for our brand," Prodigy said in a press release issued to MTV News. "We know who our fans are and what they want from Mobb Deep. We're excited to take a new step in our career," Havoc added.
The deal will allow Hav and P the opportunity to introduce their own artists to the world via Infamous/RED/Sony.
"Mobb Deep is an iconic act, having been on the cutting edge of music and social commentary for years. We are happy and excited to distribute the next chapter in their musical career." said Bob Morelli, President of RED Distribution.
Expect a new album from the duo sometime later this year.

Good looks they going indie and making more money by releasing through their label too. 100k albums sold nets a huge profit with a deal like that. Here's hoping they get a minor urban radio hit and get their money. Mobb Deep got too many classics.
