Missy Elliott Says Timbaland Told Her "We've Got to Change Music" With Her New Album. Can She Do It? [Video]

Missy Elliott is back on the scene with her frequent collaborator Timbaland. Missy is hard at work on her first album since 2005's The Cookbook.
The Virginia MC gave fans a taste of what they can expect from her new album when she released the two singles "9th Inning" and "Triple Threat" earlier this week.
Fuse caught up with Missy to chop it up about the new project. She says the idea to get back into the studio was sparked by several phone calls from Timbaland.
"Well actually Timbaland called me [and] he said, 'we gotta put out music right now, the time is right now.' He said, 'we've got to change music.' I guess he was having a moment. He really kept putting in that call," Missy recalled
The name of the album is tentatively titled Block Party or Class Dismissed, and will be released later this year. Do you think Missy can make a big change in the current music scene?

I think both Missy and Timbaland can change the game caus together they are a machine. I already got the radio stations down here in San Antonio TX playing 50 Cent-New Day and Kendrick Lamar-Swimming Pools. Until I started requesting Kendrick Lamar, they didn’t play his music down here. I’ve been requesting the two new songs Missy and Timbaland just put out for a couple days now. After a week or two or requesting, they'll be playing them down here as well. Its about time we started showing these radio stations what to play
