Michael Jordon Questions Lebron James' Decision "I Never Would Have Called Larry Bird, Magic Johnson To Play Together On One Team" [Video]

Michael Jordan led the Chicago Bulls to six titles. And while he had Scottie Pippen, there is little question the Bulls were Jordan's team.

So what does Jordan, one of the best-ever in the NBA, think of LeBron James joining with All-Stars Dwyane Wade and Chris Bosh to form a super team in Miami?

"There's no way, with hindsight, I would've ever called up Larry, called up Magic and said, 'Hey, look, let's get together and play on one team,'" Jordan said after playing in a celebrity golf tournament in Nevada. "But that's ... things are different. I can't say that's a bad thing. It's an opportunity these kids have today. In all honesty, I was trying to beat those guys."

James, who played his first seven seasons with his home state Cleveland Cavaliers, was part of one of the most celebrated free agent classes in history this summer. He met with the Cavs, Chicago Bulls, Los Angeles Clippers, Miami Heat, New York Knicks and New Jersey Nets.

James let the world know he was taking his talents to South Beach in an hour-long TV special on July 8.

TNT analyst Charles Barkley said James' decision may change his legacy.

"He'll never be Jordan," Barkley told 790 the Ticket in Miami earlier in the week. "This clearly takes him out of the conversation. He can win as much as he wants to.

"There would have been something honorable about staying in Cleveland and trying to win it as 'The Man' ... LeBron, if he would've in Cleveland, and if he could've got a championship there, it would have been over the top for his legacy, just one in Cleveland. No matter how many he wins in Miami, it clearly is Dwyane Wade's team."

for anybody in this post or anywhere else to say f*** jordan they must not have ever sen him play or they saw him s*** on there favorite squad so much that they gotta hate. either way he's the best hands down so his opinion matters more than most...way more than most. dont forget he is the n**** that all real n***** that hoop for the chip strive to be.its a few n***** that play like magic, isiah, and barkley but the 4 best n***** in the nba are kobe we all know he bit everything he does from mike, he copies mike so good to the point where nba coaches say after games they didnt know if it was kobe or mike out there tonite. and theres kobes jersey numbers. how he wears #24 and his usa jersey # is 10 both 1 away from jordans #23 and # 9...and for the person in this post that said lebron wanted 2 be himself why would he choose to sign with nike when addidas showed him so much love in high school and why would he choose to wear # 23. d-wade signed to team jordan and is from chicago you think he doesnt wanna be like mike. melo signed to team jordan out the gate and he shoots the ball every time he touches it, you really think he doesnt want to be jordan..the only one to come close will be kobe cuz even tho he won his 1st 3 with shaq in seasons where kobe avg 23,29,and 25 respectively during the 3peat,he got drafted to the lakers when shaq signed there n 96 its not like he called the n**** and said lets play together. and when gasol got there va trade thats good management skills . the point is your not supposed to want to play with best the competitor in you is supposed to want to play against and beat the best period. so not only will lebron ever catch mike, he will never catch kobe or magic or bird.

Jordan is my dude in all, but Magic was sick and retired, and Larry Bird was too f****** old and Retired.....he should have called Barkley to play with him, that was his best friend and all.... People are very afraid of whats about to happen... I see the Heat winning more than 5 rings, LeBron would of never won a ring in Cleveland...NEVER, 7 years with him , and you fail to pick up a team, getting old players, doesn't work for everybody

I totally agree. This dude said back when Jordan was playing, it was better for dudes to not be on the same team. What is he typing about? Michael Jordan owns his favorite player(s). F****** idiot.

Maaaannn f*** Jordan and any other p**** n**** hatin' on that man and hatin' on the Heat. That n**** mad cause his team is sorry as f***,and they have to face the Heat 4 times! It was a much different time then and talent was so scarce that it was better for n***** to not be on the same team, now there's enough talent to have 3 ill n***** on one team. No one can win alone so what's wrong with 3 of the best(that happen to be friends)wanting to win together WHILE THEY'RE STILL IN THEIR PRIME? This move will make the league much more competetive cause teams gotta step the game up to match up with the Heat,Lakers,Celtics,Hawks,Magic,Bulls etc... Wade,Bosh, and James all our great players that have done great things as individuals, now they wanna win as a team an make history together.

Jordan and Bird came in the same year like lebron and Wade, Bird got his rings before Jordan but that drove him to want to be better and have the Great Legacy he has. Kobes drive was to be better then Shaq and win without him and that drove him to his Legacy. Lebron took the b**** route hes a quiter anf F*** ALL JORDAN HATERS

WOW! ISN'T IT FUNNY HOW KOBE TRYS TO IMMULATE MIKE! TAKE A LOOK AT THE PIC ON THE RIGHT OF MIKE AND TELL ME HOBE BRYANT'S MICHAEL JORDAN IMPRESSION ISN'T DEAD ON...MIKE IS ONE OF MY FAVORITES AND HE HAS A POINT; BUT WHAT I LOVE ABOUT LEBRON'S "DECISION" IS HE ISN'T TRYING TO BE MIKE! HE IS TRYING TO BE LEBRON JAMES. WHILE I ALWAYS GOT THE IMPRESSION THAT HOBE BRYANT WAS TRYING TO BE BETTER THEN MIKE....AND WE ALL KNOW THAT WILL "NEVER" HAPPEN!
