Macklemore Admits Kendrick Lamar Got Robbed After He Beat K. Dot For 'Best Rap Album' At The Grammys [Text Inside]

Good Kid, M.A.A.D City vs The Heist. Which was the better rap album? Both were excellent in their own right, but in the end Macklemore's The Heist walked away Sunday (January 26) with the Grammy Award for Best Rap Album.

After the show ended Macklemore conceded that in his opinion Kendrick's project was better and should have gotten the trophy. In a display of class the Seattle rapper reached out to Kendrick after the show and told him as much.

Macklemore posted the text message he sent to the Black Hippy emcee on his Instagram account.

My text to Kendrick after the show. He deserved best rap album... I'm honored and completely blown away to win anything much less 4 Grammys. But in that category, he should have won IMO. And that's taking nothing away from The Heist. Just giving GKMC it's proper respect.. With that being said, thank you to the fans. You're the reason we were on that stage tonight. And to play Same Love on that platform was a career highlight. The greatest honor

I don't have anything against neither of these dudes. Kendrick is overrated but he's overall a good MC. Macklemore is pop but he keeps the positive message in his music. Idk why ppl still take Grammys seriously anyway. Sh*t is a popularity contest.

@SMP,
Dude, shut the f*** up already. All you do is hate on everybody on this website. Quit bein' depressed and go do somethin' with yourself. These "f***** a** homos" you're talking about have done a lot more than you ever will. Quit hatin' and just enjoy life and let people do their own thing.
Oh, and btw, you can swear on here now without the need for hyphens.
