Lil Boosie Pleads Guilty To Drug Smuggling, Sentenced To 8 Years. Still Faces Murder Charge. Rapper Says He's An Addict In Need Of Help
Lil Boosie pleaded guilty yesterday (November 29) to charges of trying to smuggle drugs into two seperate prisons on three different occasions.
According to various news reports, Boosie tried to smuggle codeine, ecstacy and marijuana into Dixon Correctional Center once and into Angola State Penitentiary twice. Both prisons are in Louisiana.
He was sentenced to eight years by judge Mike Erwin.
Boosie requested he be allowed to undergo drug counseling while in prison. The judge said he would recommend it but could not order it.
"Don’t worry about me I am getting help with my drug addiction and I am accepting full responsibility for the choice I made," Boosie said in a statement to TMZ.
Boosie's troubles are far from over. He still faces a first-degree murder charge in the death of Terry Boyd. That trial has been set for April 30, 2012.
"I am going to fight the false murder charge till the end. Love you all," Boosie told TMZ.

Its so sad to hear a gud rapper like lil boosie gettin locked up 4 dat long..its so tough to feel sorry 4 these rappers like Boosie though we like them because of their stupid & dumb sh*t they do..U are in a prison & still smugglin drugs(dumb move)The picture i see here is dat Boosie's life here is already f*cked up,6years & a killin case breathin on his neck..#Sad

In a way he attracted this situation to himself, and in the end this will contribute to the greater good of his life. We all make our own adventure. Everything here is temporary, including suffering and mistakes. I'm sure he will find himself through this and realize who he is. For all you who glorify songs about killing one another, this is what is at the end of that rainbow. Don't most fans on this sitebase an artist's skill on if they keeping it "real"?
