Lady Gaga debuted a new song called "Living on the Radio" during a St. Paul Minn., stop on her tour Monday night.

The song, a ballad, marks a new direction for the pop diva who promised Rolling Stone back in June that her new untitled album will be “bitter” compared to her last offering, The Fame Monster.

The single also seems autobiographical, talking about lows of living on the road and the loneliness of fame. "Baby, you've got a friend/ And so many little monsters/ Keep living on the radio," she sings. "And when there's nowhere to go/ And all your friends are gone/ And you've only got your daddy to call/ You're gonna be all right, honey/ Because your songs are on the radio."

A video of her performance was recorded by IamFree1974 and posted on YouTube Monday night.

Lady Gaga, who recently ousted Britney Spears to become the most popular person on Twitter, told Rolling Stone in her cover interview, “The message of the new music is now more bitter than it was before. Because the sweeter the cake, the more bitter the jelly can be."

In June, Lady Gaga was named by Forbes to be the fourth most powerful celebritybased on her earnings, media and social rank over the past year. The singer made more than $62 million dollars, appearing on the list after director James Cameron, Beyonce Knowles and Oprah Winfrey.
