KYD Works is the owner of Lost Dynasty Ent. He has his own radio show and has been rapping for 12 years now. Writing Poetry is where he started. He did three years in prison but he never let that stop him from chasing his passion and making his dreams reality. Since he has come home from prison he has been performing a different venues getting his music heard by the people. I actually had the opportunity not only meet him but see him perform as well at Karma Theatre Lounge. I got to talk with him for about 30 minutes and found out we had a lot of things in common. He is very big on unity and he feels that if we come together and support one another we can all have a successful business and become powerful. On May 18th he is going to do an Aids Walk with All BredWinnas which I think is wonderful. You don't usually hear or see underground artist participating in Charity Work. You usually hear that on a major level so I am excited for KYD Works and have a huge amount of respect for him because he shows people that he truly cares and that he is not in the game just from album sales. See most people don't realize when you show people that you care about them that they will actually support you. Everyone wants to be heard, respected, and loved and when people start to realize that you will have success in your business because you will be able to sell your people anything because of the value you put on in the market place.
Following up with him and adding him to my Facebook page he read a lot of my blogs I sent him and watched my YouTube Videos. He then offered me an opportunity to be interviewed on his Radio Show in exchange for a blog write up when he usually charges all of his guest $200.00. I am honored to have this opportunity to be interviewed because this will be my first time throughout my journey as an Entrepreneur. See a lot people don't know when KYD Works came home from prison he went back to school and became a Hip Hop Director at radio tag 88.1FM WARY and now he puts together Hip Hop Showcases all throughout the five boroughs. He has worked with some major people throughout his career. Just to name a few, he has worked with The Advocate, Murdah Baby who features, Tha Advocate, Posta (A.K.A Posta Boy Mr.106 & Park), and Murdah Baby featured me on a track with Computa, and Havoc (Mobb Deep). Recently speaking on the phone with KYD Works he has invited me to come out with him to Yonkers to get my Poetry heard over there. He has encouraged me to move around and not just stay within the Five boroughs. I have had several spiritual conversations over the phone with him. Although all of his music may not be conscious music I was happy that I was able to connect with him on a level that I am passionate about and we were both able to respect each other. See being spiritual is not all about knowing knowledge it's about being able to respect others for who they are and where they may be mentally and coming together and evolving on all levels. After hearing his song on YouTube when he said (I always saw a future that was bright, "I would stand in the dark with my mind create light, dark knight I rise and go stand in the tide, heading towards the sun with wax wings I fly"
Kyd Works stage presence is so strong. The way he had that crowd jumping at Karma Theatre Lounge is amazing. I can honestly say I learned a lot watching him perform because I am an artist myself. Speaking to him on the phone about my stage presence he dropped some jewels on me that can help me to get better in that area. He told me and I would never forget when I am on stage rap all my songs with the same feeling I wrote them and I be one of the best in the game because I got the lyrics. There was many who connected with him after he got off the stage. I wish I had the footage to show you guys how turnt up the crowd was. Here is a few performances he did in the past that you can look at in the videos below.
