Well I didn't expect such an emotional response but since you opened that can fine. Obviously DJ Problem you have a problem with straight facts and beliefs. Sorry about that. With age comes experience. I do understand the age gap issue. Hip Hop was born under that flag. Sure everybodies human but when your quoting a person whose just trying to use the culture for profit, you really don't have a grasp of what your dealing with. Alot of you young DJ's (and I'll say that loosely)come into this culture for the wrong reasons. The money is your lust. That's okay but when you come into this culture started by Kool Herc and Afrika Bam, you better realize that there are rules and regulations to follow. People who pave the way so you can now DJ with your Ipods(you'll want to say that their disgruntled). Although you may have somewhat of a grasp on likes and dislikes your responsibility as a DJ is to come up with something new and diverse. Not play the everyday radio record that has been programmed to our women consumers. You and other young rap heads(because I can't call you hip hop) are brainwashed to the corny Hurrican Chris's of the world. I understand that you have alot to learn and the best way to teach you would be to battle you but then again you probably started off with rap ipods instead of records. That's your loss. You don't know any better. I'm glad to hear that your a musician which is the root to the culture. Maybe you can create something better but to disrespect people like KRS-One like he's crying will not be permitted by me. You would never hear a white artist disrespect The Beatles or the Rolling Stones. But Black children like you are programmed calling your pioneers old and not giving your legends the proper listen to their material. So like I said your first records are rap records the conversation of battle which is the essence of this culture would be foreign to you. You could never compete. But with this lesson I'll change up KRS-One's quote(Mc's act like they don't know) to DJ Problem doesn't get it.
