MTV's Hottest MC's Of 2011 list was controversial to say the least. The No. 1 artist on the list didn't have an album out last year, one of the artists is arguably not an MC anymore and several more who should have been up for consideration weren't.
So the panel over at Jump Off TV dissected the list as ranked by MTV which was: 1. Rick Ross, 2. Drake, 3. Kanye West, 4. Lil' Wayne, 5. Nicki Minaj, 6. Jay-Z, 7. Meek Mill, 8. Big Sean, 9. Wiz Khalifa, 10. Wale and rearranged it.
They also asked the burning question. How was it possible to leave artists like J. Cole, Big K.R.I.T., 2 Chainz and Kendrick Lamar off the list?

2 Chainz is a good hustler. Not an MC. He's like Gucci Mane. IT's all about money. Lloyd Banks need to do albums. Mixtapes are lame. Rappers need to put out ALBUMS....$$$$$

J. Cole was also grammy nominated.. He should have atleast cracked the top 10.. include album sales and lyricism then he has to be move up to maybe 2 or 3..The knock on him is swag and i know thats important but that factor alone can not knock him no less than four..
