Is Astro What The Game's Been Missing? Confident 15-Year Old Thinks He Is "I Just Want To Save Hip Hop, That's My Job" Addresses Rumors He's Signing With Jay-Z [Video]
When 15-year old Brian Bradley aka The Astronomical Kid was voted off of X-Factor last week he didn't take it as hard as some might have expected given how hard he had worked to make into the top seven.
One reason he might have been able to accept his fate much better than Drew, who cried throughout the elimination show, is because he was never expected to make it that far. X-Factor is a show designed to find America's next big singer, not rapper.
"I’m happy. I wish everyone [on the X Factor] the best of luck," Astro told the New York Daily News. “Now, I could just release music. I know I’m going to be the next big hip-hop artist. I just want to save hip-hop . . . that’s my job.”
One rumor that has been floating around is that Astro is close to signing a deal with Jay's Roc Nation imprint.
“I couldn’t tell you anything. I don’t know what you’re talking about,” he said. “I’m not focused on the labels, I just got home. I’m just trying to make great music.”

He's actually really good. Even if you don't have a "rap ear" you can hear he's talented. 50 really needs to hear him.

the problem with hip hop is that the media plays all the wrong s***... a lot of it is the music but even more than that its the artists puttin on they fake a** b******* fronts and not 1. keepin it real wit themselves. 2. keepin it real wit the audience. and 3. well people need to be like 50 and give back... much respect to fif cuz he carryin da game on his back even without makin a lot of music. he has done a great deed to us all by putting his humanitarian movement before his entertainment career.. i wish i could help in a way that 50 is but everybody has their own way to chip in and better society. and for this kid...lil pawn mofukka ..fuuck em he aint gon help at all.. he just gon be another pop mainstream artist whos on all the radio stations i dont listen to.. hip hop lives in the fans and the real spittas and the regular everyday people who spit and are never going to blow up but rap because they truly love it and gain something from it.

I can't believe the suckas below me hating on this kid. He is 15 and is already a better rapper than 75% of the rappers that are in the game right now. This kid has the potential to be the biggest hip hop artist, he has a right to be confident....not cocky, it's confidence.
