High Court Rejects C-Murder's Appeal. Rapper To Serve Out Remainder Of Life Sentence For Killing 16-Year Old
Master P's younger brother, C-Murder, real name Corey Miller, will have to serve out the remainder of his life sentence in a Louisiana prison after the Supreme Court rejected his appeal.
Miller was convicted of second degree murder and sentenced in 2009 to life in prison for the 2002 murder of 16-year-old Steve Thomas, at a Harvey, Louisiana nightclub.
The jury came back with a 10-2 verdict in favor of conviction. Louisiana and Oregon are the only two states that allow for non-unanimous convictions for some crimes.
Miller's lawyers were hoping the high court would make a decision "on the constitutional law that requires federal juries to reach unanimous verdicts in criminal cases, but allows states to make different rules," but were unsuccessful.
According to the Associated Press, "the justices recently have rejected similar appeals asking them to treat state and federal trials equally. Decisions involving gun rights and other issues generally require states to extend the same constitutional rights as the federal government."

@morehouse, no i didnt say all white people dont kno bout the ghetto life cuz i done grew up wit white people from the same hood as me.... i said "HE" wasbt cuz the first thing he said was it was jus "ENTERTAINMENT" and he comparing will smith playing aliens in movies wit real rap music and he doesnt really kno bout that life, he jus listening, but people lik us thats from the hood really feeling it and knowin bout that life but some of these rappers aint never had a hard day in they life

@brollya I like how you said white people don't know about the ghetto life. Race don't have anything to do with living in the ghetto or being gangster. I lived in the ghetto but I chose not to live the ghetto life I got out of it I joined the Marines I go to college. To choose the ghetto life or be a gangster is just foolish and a shame to put your family through that when they have to bury your body. At least if I die it's for my country as a whole for a better good. The world is more than just a ghetto and being a gangster.
