Freeway Ricky Ross: "They Gave Crack A Stigma So They Could Punish Young Black Men A Hundred Times Worse Than They Punished Anybody Else" (Video)

Video After The Jump

The war on drugs has been one with numerous battles over the last several decades, and as the years pass new ones are produced but crack cocaine continues to affect the Black community. During DJ Vlad's talk with Freeway Ricky he was shown a clip from Montana of 300's VladTV interview where he spoke about his mother's ongoing battle with crack. At one point Montana says he used to want to wipe out all of the drug dealers because of it, to which Freeway Ricky states it's "kinda like [how] the United States government feels - that they can just lock up all the drug dealers and the problem will go away. It won't happen." Interestingly enough it was Ricky's own family who made him give up the drug game for good. His advice to Montana of 300? "What you have to do is help your people. He has to find a way to get through to his mom."

Watch and listen as Freeway Ricky talks about the government's role in the drug epidemic, why he feels "they gave crack a stigma so that they could punish young, Black men" more so than others, and why crack babies don't exist.

Praise the Lord! Sorry Freeway but crack is as bad as it sounds and deserves the all the whole stigma it has. Crack dealers would be referred to as sorcery in the Bible and sorcery is idolatry. God does not like it at all when His children worship other gods. The key to helping us young black men is educating us away from this old age improper information. God bless! You'll know it's Christian Psalms Hardnis!! The album artwork has my .40 Caliber!! Typical b*******. Blah Blah Blah drugs are meant to wipe out the black communities...blah blah blah give me a f****** break. Black people get off your soapbox and face facts. There are just as much latino and white people on drugs as well. The only reason the black communities felt it the hardest is because a******* like this did dealings with the mob or the Asians and pumped their OWN communities full of drugs. Thats a fact. So if you want to blame people stop the whole government trying to kill us nonsense and look to your own people who are killing you. I never seen a senator or congressman on the corner sliding to us....but I damn sure seen a black dude doing it. Also while Im at it why do you think there are liquor stores and fast for restaurants in the hood so deep? Because our own people are given tax breaks for small business owners to operate these locations. Now why are we opening liquor stores every two blocks? White neighborhood has one liquor store for every mile or two. Not us. Why? Stop blaming everything on the government and start looking at your own people and communities. .

Crack was put in the ghetto to kill us through chemical war and then the war on drugs was to implemented to lock us up for selling the drugs they bought in... double edged sword... I don't care how many white people smoke it or sell it because they were not the target, they just happen to be dumb enough to deal with it even though there are alot more alternatives for you when your white in America.
