D.J. Scoob Doo recorded a recent phone call he had with his buddy Lil Wayne from jail, and, surprisingly, it’s not depressing at all! Wayne addresses his recent kerfuffle with the “contraband” iPod found in his cell, saying, “Yeah, they tried to bang me with that. But it’s just music, I can’t live without my music, Scoob. You know how it is, man. I needed my music. It’s all good, I had to take my little slip up. I ain’t trippin’; players f*** up, you know what I’m saying?” Otherwise, Wayne cheerily reports things are breezy: “I got the penthouse suite up here at Rikers, man. I got my feet up.” A little beep sound comes on toward the end meaning his phone time is almost up, and that part is a little depressing, actually. Still, though, it’s nice to hear he’s in good spirits. So, when are we getting the inevitable mixtape recorded over the phone from jail?
