"I was counting on you to count me out as Asher Roth/When he round-a-bout dissed me to shout me out. Thought I was history/But goddamn, honkey, that compliment's like backhanding a donkey/Good way to get your a$$ socked in the mouth. Man off it" - Eminem "A$$hole."
No Eminem album would be complete without some controversy and sharp edged lyrics aimed at someone who has managed to get on his nerves.
On Slim's forthcoming album, The Marshall Mathers LP 2, he appears to take a shot at Asher Roth.
Hot 97's Peter Rosenberg addressed the issue today on "The Realness."
"White on white crime, you know it's gotta stop. Guys I've told you forever that white people in the game do not like other white people getting on in the game. As evidenced by the list of white rappers I have personally hated on," Peter said. "That's why I'm disappointed, but I'm not surprised to hear that the legend Eminem has dissed my man Asher Roth. And to make it even worse he used the dreaded h-word. Asher wasn't even ever dissing Eminem. Asher thought it was so tight that Eminem actually bigged him up back in the day, now he's turned around and dissing him. But in dissing Asher Roth did he choose to diss the best of all the other white rappers? I'm telling yo Mac Miller's tight, Bronson's phenomenal, but Asher Roth is a rapper's rapper. He can rap. So much so, that I hope Asher fires back at the rap God."
