Eminem: More Popular Than MJ on Facebook [Em is now the most popular artist on Facebook…]

XXL reports:

Move over Michael Jackson, Eminem is now the most popular artist on Facebook; alive or dead.

AOL News reports that the Detroit lyricist officially claimed the title over the weekend when he surpassed the King of Pop with the most likes on the social networking site. As of press time Em has 30,339,050 likes, while MJ has 29,889,0268.

Last month, the Detroit bred superstar made headlines after he exceeded Lady Gaga’s status on Facebook. She is currently in second place with 30,150,676 likes. This battle is sure to be ongoing, as both Gaga and Jackson are known to have very supportive fanbases.

In related news, Em’s third solo album for Interscope, The Eminem Show, was recently certified diamond by the the Recording Institute Association of America (RIAA). This isn’t the first time he shipped over 10,000,000 copies of one of his discs. 2001’s The Marshall Mathers LP also earned the Em a diamond plaque.

fail. Marhsall Mathers LP is from 2000 and it's not a diamond album. It's still 9 x platinum. Get your facts right.

wow the power of success. With one click of a button Em can get 30 million people to see whatever he wants them to. That's amazing.

Eminem will be the first artist to go Triple Platinum, guaranteed. "It can't be done." You Say. Nothing is impossible, and people obviously know the dude, can throw down more lyrics than any other man on earth. Most sold Artists, Most Solid Fan-base, and will be a legend in my eyes, forever. Sure I jumped on the band-wagon, when the Marshal Mathers LP came out. Sure I wanted to be like Eminem in college, bleaching my hair, cutting my hair into a classic Cesar. Bias I may be, but YOU have to be 'ignorant' to think that this Talented Mother F***** is not going to be, and continue to be, a dominating force in Record Sales, the Music industry, and Salesmanship. Raise your F****** Glass and Give it up for "The Real Slim Shady".
