Eminem Becomes 1st Artist Ever To Sell 1 Million Digital Copies Of An Album With 'Recovery'
Eminem continues his hot streak as he becomes the first artist ever to sell one million digital copies of an album in the U.S.
Just weeks after Bad Meets Evil's 'Hell : The Sequel' made it's debut at number 1, Slim's 'Recovery' album passes the digital platinum mark. The album was also the best selling album of 2010 and won a Grammy for Best Rap Album.
“Recovery selling one million digital albums is an incredible achievement by an incredible artist,” said Interscope Records’ Vice Chairman Steve Berman. “I have had the pleasure of working with Eminem throughout the course of his career, and I’m delighted to be a part of yet another milestone on his amazing journey.”
Eminem's longtime manager Paul Rosenberg was just as pleased.
"We are thrilled to congratulate Eminem on the history-making digital sales success of Recovery," he said. "Over the years we've made a concerted effort to engage Em's online fan base so this achievement is especially rewarding. Eminem made an amazing album with Recovery and the fans responded in record numbers."

Why do people say this is the best "white rapper", get your head outta your a** man, this is the best hip hop artist alive if not the best hip hop artist in history.
I am white and I believe Pac would have been the best ever, but unfortunately his time was short lived. I'm sure Em believes Pac was the best to ever do it also, but it's damn near fact that Eminem is the best hip hop artist thus far.

This dude took 5 years off, you didn't hear a word from him, just vanished, then he came back and broke records, and not with his first comeback album. That means he really deserves these milestones and it's not just like he came back and everyone bought his album because it's his first one back, Relapse did amazing and Recovery did F****** amazing. You cannot ignore the talent of this man. Best rapper alive and that is a FACT!
