Drake Attempts To Quiet Rumors That He's Unhappy With His Label Situation. Says He's "YMCMB For Life" [Video]

Video After The Jump

Rumors that Drake is planning an exit from YMCMB have been circulating for months. Those rumors intensified in December when it was announced that Drizzy's October's Very Own imprint had inked a deal with Warner Bros. Records.

The Toronto emcee has previously denied those rumors, and did so again at an All-Star after party this weekend in Houston.

I just want to say as I’m standing in front of you tonight, proud as a man that’s about to be with Young Money-Cash Money for another I don’t know how many albums. YMCMB for life," Drake told the crowd.

Do you think Drake is really happy with Young Money? Or is he just waiting for the right time to exit stage left?

Tony Yayo would never sign to YMCMB. He got a lot of options on the table, but will go the indy route and continue to distribute those mixtapes. GPG 5!!

He know they are some jerks. Yeah he might just be waiting for the right time to leave and don't want them to try some crazy stuff if he tries to leave so he's trying to make his steps and moves wisely.

I can't f***** stand Drake but on the real everybody know that if somebody is gonna be bringin in big money than Birdman got an eye on em an if Birdman got you he ain't gonna let you go especially someone as big as Drake

He'll be stuck with YMCMB for the rest of his life, he's their slave. Even if he wants to get out, he'd need an amazing lawyer and to be on Birdman's good graces - which won't happen.

I think he waiting on the right time, he doesn't need ymcmb anymore. He has his own record label, why wouldn't he want to put his album out on his own label. For one he would make more money, and isn't that what they strive for; to be the boss.
