Dr. Dre Turns 48! Looking Back On His Top Tracks





The legendary rapper and producer Dr. Dre just turned 48 and to celebrate his birthday we our honoring him by reminiscing over his top solo and collaborative hits.

Out of the six Grammys he has won, Dr. Dre earned three for production. Additionally, he strongly contributed to the careers of rappers like 50 Cent and Eminem.

While we wait for his anticipate album Detox to break, let us look back on the greatness that is Dr. Dre.



1992 - "Lil Ghetto Boy" featuring Snoop Dogg and Nate Dogg, The Chronic


This song tells the story of life in the hood.






1992 - "Nuthing But A G Thang" featuring Snoop Dogg, The Chronic


Snoop and Dre proved that despite where they are both from, they can still do music together.






1992 - "B*tches Ain't Sh*t," The Chronic


The derogatory track still had the females jumping.

This track was made to diss Eazy-E, Luke, and Tim Dog after Dre was kicked out of N.W.A.

As the third single from The Chronic album it won the doctor a Grammy award.






1993 - "Gin & Juice" Produced By Dr. Dre, Snoop Dogg's Doggystyle


Dre had a huge part in producing the backdrop of this track to accompany Snoop Dogg's flow.






1995 - "California Love" w/ 2Pac, California Love


This song was initially intended for Dr. Dre's Chronic II but turned into a 2Pac single. The music video is unforgettable.






1995 - "Keep Their Heads Ringin'," Friday Official Soundtrack



From the Friday soundtrack, the song was kind of a hidden gem.







1999 - "The Next Episode" featuring Kurupt and Snoop Dogg, 2001



Just another head banger.







1999 - "What's The Difference" featuring Eminem & Xzibit, 2001



The purpose of this track was for all three rappers to describe the difference between them and other rappers.

Fighting the rumors that he fell off, this track reassured that Dre was still in the game.

The first single off of 50 Cent's Street King Immortal, this is a uplifting anthem produced by Dr. Dre and mixed by Eminem.

most of theses hard rappers in the last five year so weak could never live up to this hard core rap the was in your face rude hardcore rapper to day dance around the subject yet they want to be called gangster

Good producer but with a bit-ch made attitude, no wonder real cats dissed his a-ss so hard. Same goes for Snoop, Jay, etc...

LAME!! We all know Dre doesn't 'produce' beats. We all know who really made all those beats, just look at the credits. Pac called him out for that, and he called him a FA=G=G=OT

First off, happy belated bornday to Dr. Dre(was in the lab all day yesterday)!!! My favorite Dre joint is "s*** hits the fan" off Obie Trice's first Cheers album. Em, O-trice, and Dr.Dre destroyed ja on this tracc!!!

Not too sure why 'New Day' was listed on here... could have listed 'In Da Club' and even thrown a few other Eminem or one of Game's joints
