must be a new york radio thing, cause i never heard of these guys exept when charlamagne got fires for saying something he wasn't suppose to awhile back.

There needs to be more radio DJs that will say when something is crap, i know that much. He may do a lot of things to create uncomfort and ratings...but even though it's hyperbole I still think he's being essentially honest. If there were more "filters" of reason and honesty in the radio game (played up for ratings or not), maybe more good music would come through. I know...it's a losing battle.
