Damn! Matthew McConaughey Barely Recognizable After Shocking Weight Loss For Movie Role In 'The Dallas Buyer's Club' [Pics]

 

We've seen actors in the past go to extremes by losing or gaining weight for movie roles, but it's still shocking nonetheless.

 

Christian Bale's transformation for his role in The Machinist had to be seen to be believed. The normally muscular Batman actor withered away to skin and bones. Bale dropped about 62 pounds in 4 months for the 2004 film.

 

 

50 Cent similarly lost 60 pounds in nine weeks to play a cancer-stricken football player for his 2011 film All Things Fall Apart.

 

 

Matthew McConaughey is the latest to try what can actually be a very dangerous weight loss method for his role in the movie The Dallas Buyers Club.

 

 

The Dallas Buyer's Club is the true story of Ron Woodruff, a man who contracted HIV through drug use in the '80s and had to smuggle life-saving medications from Mexico. McConaughey has lost 30 pound so far.
