It's seems that more and more crooks are looking to earn their Super-Softee Props as the victims being picked are increasingly becoming the old and defenseless.
Another instance of that took place in the Bronx when a 64-year-old man was entering a building at 2100 Creston Avenue on Aug. 8 holds open a door for a youth who then grabs him by the neck, throws him to the ground and proceeds to beat and kick him with the help of two other scoundrels.
In addition to money and a cellphone, the police say, the robbers stole the man’s Bible.
Two other attacks were on Creston Avenue at East 181st Street. In one, a 33-year-old man was robbed on July 23. In the other, a 26-year-old man was robbed on Aug. 3. All three crimes were between 1 and 3 a.m., the police say.
The attackers are believed to be between 16 and 20 years of age.
