Chef Bernard James Talks Cooking for Famous Musicians and Long Beach Grand Opening.

By  |

Chef Bernard has had a significant amount of success in the culinary industry and along the way he has become a favorite amongst many music artists and athletes. He has cooked for notable celebs such as T.I., Akon, Keyshia Cole, Kyrie Irving, Trinidad James, Christina Milian, Robert Riley and more.

“I enjoy having the support of Celebrities but I am able to have so many clients because I let the food speak for itself and I treat every customer the same and with utmost respect,” said Chef.

With popular dishes such as Jerk Chicken, Rasta Pasta, Curry Goat, Curry Chicken Roti and Oxtails, it’s no surprise that he has opened not 1 but 2 restaurants within a year. Chef Bernard is the owner of Taste of the Caribbean Hollywood and Taste of the Caribbean Long Beach. On Saturday, he held a grand opening and ribbon cutting for his Long Beach location. The line was wrapped around the venue as people waited to enter the grand opening event for Taste of the Caribbean Long Beach, which is now the only official Caribbean restaurant in the Long Beach area. The grand opening comes less than a year after Chef Bernard opened Taste of the Caribbean Hollywood.

“The Grand Opening was a success and it was great to see so many people lined up before the event even started,” he said.

At the event, he also included a grand entrance from Miss Caribbean LA pageant contestants. He recently launched Miss Caribbean LA which will be the first Caribbean beauty pageant ever in Los Angeles. The pageant competition will be held on June 1st in Downtown Los Angeles.
