Cash Money Films Expanding. Will Release "Rich Gang" Movie Starring Lil Wayne

Already established as one of the top record labels in the business, Cash Money is looking to expand their empire into movies by launching Cash Money Films.

The first project up to bat is "Rich Gang."

We start shooting that in the fall,” Birdman told “That’s the whole team, that’s like a 2012 Balla Blocking. The Rich Gang movie is about the team. Everybody is going to be the star of it, but Wayne will be the center of it. It’s about the team, everybody that’s on the label.

Stunna added that he wants the team to act natural in their roles.

I would like them for just be themselves,” he said. “I’m not gonna tell no n*gga to go to acting school. Just be yourself. We’re excited as a brand about it. Tyga, everybody is like, ‘Stunna, let’s do a  movie.’ We got a few of them lined up and we gonna shoot them.”

F*** everything about this. Movies and music are completely separate mediums. You can't just throw money to "produce" movies and expect them to happen. Look, I'm a big fan of 50 Cent but look at his movie career. He even gave it a very respectable go at it. Ice Cube barely f****** made it in the second half of his career. Most of Cash Money's music is half assed to turn a profit and I'm sure their movies will be the same. I would only support this article if they were talking about make XXX Porno's.

Any movie produced by the same person, starring the same person, soundtrack by the same person, co-starring the same person, directed by the same person, and written by the same person, IS just to much of the SAME F****** PERSON.....These dudes are self-centered....We need more black folks behind the scenes than trying to be all in the mix.

These dudes are so not original....Every unsuccessful label has followed the same steps to disaster.....Rappers are really unrealistic and simple minded.

Spotlight on Bronzo (@bronzobpg)

NORFOLK, VA – Sometimes there are moments in life that are so traumatic that they can either break a person, or change them so profoundly that it shifts the course of their future. The execution of Bronson Tor’res Garner’s brother by lethal injection in 2011 was just such an instance for the young rapper known as Bronzo. And though the experience was devastating and elicited a bout of depression, it became an event that ultimately pushed him to make some major life changes and focus on a career…See More
