BREAKING NEWS: Lil Wayne Pleads Guilty To Gun Charge [Facing A Year in Jail]- VIDEO INSIDE

Rapper Lil Wayne pleaded guilty to attempted weapons possession charges today (October 22).
As reported by AllHipHop.com yesterday (October 21), the rapper is expected to receive a maximum sentence of one year in jail, although he is expected to serve around eight months in prison for the offense.
The rapper had previously pleaded not guilty to the charges, but changed the plea to avoid a trial that was due to start January 20 and could have resulted in at least 3 ½ years in prison.
The guilty plea stems from an incident in New York in 2007, after police found a .40 caliber handgun during a search of his tour bus.
Originally, lawyers for Wayne planned to contest the charges.
Yesterday (October 21), the plea was entered after Wayne’s DNA evidence was allegedly found on the weapon and deemed admissible by a judge.
The DNA evidence found was reportedly small, and Wayne’s lawyers initially sparred with the prosecution over whether DNA profiling technique used was scientifically acceptable.
Before the trial, Lil Wayne’s manager had publicly taken responsibility for the gun on the rapper’s VH1 special.
Lil Wayne, 27, also faces a trial in Arizona for felony drug possession and weapons charges, after a 2008 arrest during a routine stop at a U.S. Border Patrol checkpoint.
At press time, Lil Wayne could not be reached for comment.
His much-delayed rock debut, The Rebirth, is scheduled to hit stores on December 15.

The most f***** up part about all this is Wayne got newborns coming into the world. To miss that first years is f***** up you can't get that back. Other then that Wayne gone be good 8 months is a short vacation. Plus I bet he only do 5 months inside and get out early on good behavior or house arrest that ain't s***. Now if he was facing MAX B or hell even Prodigy time then he would have reason to be down. I think his other case will get thrown out cause the cops f***** up. In the future just stay out of New York and Arizona f*** them, there lost anyway plus I know that overseas paper is better. For all you fake ass niggas talking bout him sucking d*** and kiss men in the pen, ya'll some homos just for having them kind of thoughts and fantasies in ya'll head from the jump. And to niggas calling him a drug addict talking about his habits need to just hush cuz ya'll know ya'll smoke weed. And you just a busta period for celebrating another man getting locked up, niggas who do that are prone to snitch.

Hammer I don't know what U smokin' but keep dat s*** for yaself my G. Wayne is a notch above wack and he never was runnin' round the streets of New Orleans. On top of that you can't compare N.O to know jail in NY. Any street n**** will tell you that. Wayne f***** ass gonna be in protective custody the whole time anyway. I guess Baby gonna be mad when wayne find a new boyfriend in prison. B**** ass nicca!

I'v neva been 2 prison n i reali dnt wana go i hear its a real fuckd up place, here in South Africa we've some of the dirtiest prisons, guys that reali dnt giva f*** they'l do anything 2 b recognised (as i'v heard or seen on tv), so as much as i dnt like Lil Waynes music, i dnt want the man 2 go 2 jail thats no place 4 a human bein...
