As a model/actress, she has since been recognized by artists and casting directors as a woman who definitely stands out above the rest. Since appearing in the video, it has been a non-stop grind for this charismatic, blue-eyed beauty, who has since been spotlighted in magazines such as XXL Magazine, Source Magazine, and BlackMens Magazine’s modeling Gucci and Saks Fifth Avenue with Trey Songs. Known as the 2008 face for Coogi Clothing’s Women’s Line re-launch. She is also in music videos for Wyclef, Lloyd Banks, Ray J, and Prodigy of Mob Deep. Receiving large notoriety for her role as 50 Cent’s Baby Mother in his video “I Get Money” and her role as a Matrix Fighter in his “Ok, You’re Right” video off his current album.
Living in Brooklyn, New York to a single mother, Bobbi had to grow up quickly and learn how to take care of herself at an early age. Spending 10 years of her youth in foster care, she moved around a lot during her younger years. It is particularly because of her rough upbringing, that she strives to succeed in whatever she does. At the same time she refuses to compromise her integrity and standards. With a Bachelors Degree in Media and Communication with an English minor from SUNY Old Westbury College in Long Island, NY, Bobbi Jo definitely believes that education is just as important as being noticed in the entertainment industry. She does not consider modeling as a last resort, in an industry where many models are willing to do whatever it takes to get ahead. Bobbi Jo insists that one must be selective in choosing modeling jobs. There has been several instances where she has been offered a project, but has had to politely turn it down if the material that is presented isn’t one that will compliment her image. “It is important to see the bigger picture”, she states.
When it is all said and done, Bobbi Jo’s main objective in additional to advancing a budding acting career she strives to obtain major make-up line, hair product, and clothing line campaigns. Under her belt she currently has a lead role as “Denise” in the Spike Lee directed 10th Anniversary Rocawear commercial, along with a lead role in The JBS Prive “Urban Beauty Hair” commercial. Jinny Beauty Supply is a multi-million dollar company and leader in the ethnic beauty industry with distribution centers in Chicago, Atlanta, Miami and Dallas. This commercial airing on a variety of major television networks including ABC, NBC, FOX, CW and Comcast affiliates ranging from BET, MTV, VH-1, BRAVO and Entertainment Television to name a few.
Bobbi Jo would also like to play a major role in changing the lives of foster care children by investing time in her community, and being a positive female role model for younger girls who have similar goals. You may have seen Bobbi Jo as Rip the Runway’s First Professional Winner of BET's Model Mission Show, and her feature currently in the “Notorious” movie in the director’s cut, as well as her feature role in “The Perfect Age of Rock and Roll” in scenes with Taryn Manning and Kevin Zegers.
