Blood On The Sand - "Game Mechanic" Behind The Scene + 50 Cent Talks About The Video Game [Thisis50 Blog #1]

Before talking with 50 Cent, I have to announce that he will be participating in Xbox LIVE's Game with Fame event on Sunday, March 1st from 6-8pm ET. Fans will have a chance to play against 50 in "50 Cent: Blood on the Sand" and need a copy of the Xbox 360 game in order to play. The Game with Fame event on March 1st kicks off a month long celebration of 50 Cent being Xbox's Artist of the Month.

More info on that event coming soon - Stay tuned

What is 50 Cent: Blood on the Sand all about?

50 Cent: Blood on the Sand is going to be the hottest game ever. It’s an intense third-person shooter featuring brutal solo combat as well as cooperative online multiplayer, and a soundtrack with over 40 of my songs--including an album’s worth of exclusive, never before heard music.

The first time I played the game I was excited about it. I have been involved from the start, but to see it complete and to actually be playing was amazing. I can’t wait until my fans have an opportunity to finally enjoy it too.

There are so many cool features in the game that it’s hard for me to point out just one. It feels like you’re in an action film, where you get a chance to be 50 Cent, Tony Yayo, Lloyd Banks, or DJ Whoo Kid.

This game is absolutely better than the last one! Everyone who purchased Bulletproof will be blown away by this game. The standards have been raised so high in the gaming industry, and they gave me the best possible game for my fans.

The video game has an over the top action story that follows me and the G-Unit as we battle a crime lord and his gang, and will be released for the Xbox 360 and PS3 on Feb 24th, 2009.

What is it like to make your own video game?

50 Cent: Making a game is totally different from making an album because the process takes so long--at least two years, going from start to finish--it’s a process. That’s why you don’t see too many celebrities saying they have their own video game – like all things in life, if you don’t have a passion for it, you don’t do it or you don’t do it right.

I was very involved with the making this game. Early on the game developers asked my advice and I gave them my ideas, like having vehicle levels to make it even more of an experience. I’m excited because after playing it, I see my influence in the game. So I know my fans will appreciate an authentic 50 Cent game, not just a game I put my name on.

This blog is the first out of 5
I had the chance to seat down with 50 and ask him questions regarding the video game and more..stay tuned the rest is coming soon
