BallerStatus.com -- Incarcerated Bad Boy Records artist Black Rob has been in the slammer since 2006, stemming for a 2005 burglary. Since going in, we've not heard from him, but he's reportedly close to getting a release.
In a recent interview with XXLMag.com, the rapper gave an update to his status at Bad Boy, revealing that he's as much in dark as most his fans regarding his status at Diddy's label.
"I haven't heard from these dudes, they might've took me off the Bad Boy website or whatever, but I haven't heard from anyone telling me what the deal is," Rob told the magazine's website. "So, until I get a piece of paper saying that I'm no longer a Bad Boy artist, I'm still reppin' that flag. I'm a team player man."
Black Rob is spot on about his website comment. As of press time, he is not listed as an artist on Bad Boy's official website.
Inquiries to Bad Boy for clarification about the rapper's status were not returned at press time either.
However, we're sure to find out in the coming months because B.R. is almost ready to see freedom. He tells XXL that he's 90 days away from a release. There's no official release date just yet though.
