Big Sean Wonders Why He & Kanye West Weren't Higher On MTV's Hottest MC's List. Says Pusha T Deserved A Spot "G.O.O.D. Music Had The Hottest Rap Songs Of 2012" [Video]

Several artists who made MTV's Hottest MC's in the Game list have questioned their positions. Most notably, A$AP Rocky and Kanye West were offended by their rankings of No. 8 and 7 respectively.
Big Sean came in an No. 6. He sat down with DJ Semtex to talk about the list.
While Sean said he respected the judging panel, MTV and the other artists who earned a spot, he made it clear that he thought G.O.O.D. Music was the leader of the pack in 2012.
"I feel like G.O.O.D. music had the hottest rap songs, the biggest rap songs of 2012. You can't even deny that," Sean said. "That was Kanye's work. That was my work. That was our work. For me and Kanye to be 7 & 6 what you think? If you done the hottest rap songs of 2012 and you're 7 & 6 what that mean? Is that right? [Pusha T] be spitting too. Where was he at? He set off 'Don't Like,' he was on 'Mercy.' If you don't feel like you should have been No. 1 then I don't know what the f*ck you doing this for."
Sean added that he'll definitely be top 5 on the list next year.

By the way, why do these rappers even care who's on a list anyway? It's a list that was made by so called professionals of hip-hop. These rappers (Kanye and A$AP Rocky) complaining about a list that isn't a life or death situation shouldn't be an issue anyway.

@JR Scar (odd enough I have a bulk of your name) The countdown was based on the year 2012. Trinidad James became relevant in December for one song. Though it's a popular song, it wasn't enough for him to be on the countdown but that doesn't mean that he won't be on it next year. The argument might be that A$AP Rocky's album didn't come out until Jan 2013, but his name was relevant throughout most of the year 2012, mostly because of the features of songs he was on. I don't favor A$AP Rocky but what makes him #8 is that he has created a sound in his music that no one else has. Is he a lyrical rapper? No. Is his sound different from other mainstream rappers? Yes.
